Nutritional  / Diet Support

You will have regular assistance by a Registered Dietitian that is knowledgeable in the nutritional needs of a person in kidney failure. A dialysis diet is one that is low in sodium, phosphorous and protein with the importance of adding high-quality protein and limiting fluids. Your Registered Dietitian is part of the multidisciplinary team and is located in the dialysis center.

As part of our commitment to provide you with the highest level of quality care, your Registered Dietitian is available to:

  • Review your monthly lab results with suggestions for an individualize nutritional plan to meet your needs
  • Provide education on basic nutrition and a proper dialysis diet
  • Provide menus and recipes based on the season/holiday
  • Along with your physician, adjust your kidney failure related medications
